Not only was it the first of its kind conference held in Barbados, but it was also conducted completed virtually with presenters and speakers addressing the attendees from various locations across the globe both from their homes and offices.
The striking feature of this virtual conference was BIBA’s ability to also focus on the networking element that is often the key focal point of attending these conferences that allows the attendees to strengthen existing and build new business relationships with persons from various sectors in the industry. They accomplished this by have a 4-person virtual room for 10-minute intervals after which you are shuffled to another room and this continues for 3 sessions at a time. It gave the attendees sufficient time to basically trade contact information and provide a brief introduction for further discussions where of interest.
BIBA did a good job of selecting the topics for discussion as they were wide ranging and most of them relevant to the current industry dynamics facing the markets – not only in Barbados but on a Global basis.
